Sleep, glorious sleep....

I couldn't fall asleep last night.  I was still awake at 3 am. And I knew I needed to get up early.  I had my alarm set for 6:20, with a back up one at 6:40.  I needed extra time for a shower. (I usually try to shower at night.)

At 7:35, my MIL came and woke me up.  I overslept.  I normally get the kids in the car no later than 7:40. (They all need to be at school at 8--and I have to get to 2 different schools.)

Fortunately, the teenager gets dressed rather quickly (once he starts moving) and I got him to school by 7:51. Mind you, I was in my pajamas.  I just through my coat on over the top and prayed I didn't get into an accident.  Picture an almost 300 pound woman in lime green Tinkerbell jammies exchanging insurance information with a teenage jock right in front of the high school.  Better yet, DON'T picture that!

About the time I made it home, my hubby was leaving with the 2nd and 4th graders.  I'm not sure if they were late or not.

I went ahead and showered and got ready to leave.  But since I was running late, I didn't have time to walk before work.  And on Tuesdays I don't have the car after 11:30, so I couldn't get to my "gym" (cardio room at the adult center).  And the temperature dropped again, and it was too cold to walk outside.  And then I had a meeting right after work.  More and more reasons....

I have walked over 50 miles this month.  So I am not going to beat myself up over the missed workout. I'll get back on track tomorrow.  After a good night sleep tonight.

Wait!  I forgot to tell you....I lost another 2 1/2 pounds!  I'm down 8 1/2 pounds since January 1st!  Slow and steady wins the race.

  3. Woo-hoo! (To the weight loss and the 50 miles, not the oversleeping. :) )

Here's hoping you got a good night's sleep!
