I'm still plugging along

I've really been struggling lately to find my motivation.  No, I haven't given up. I haven't returned to my old ways.  I just feel like I'm walking through mud.

I met with my doctor after my last post. He is not concerned about my cholesterol.  He told me I'm doing great, and some people just have a propensity for high cholesterol. We did decide to go the RX route.  (Something we've discussed off and on for at least 9 years.)

I also went in for my 2 hour glucose.  I passed it. I am not diabetic! Yeah!!

I have been to Zumba 1 or 2 times every week, and I've gone for a run at least once a week.  It isn't as much as I'd like, but sometimes life happens.

I've been struggling with recording my food on MyFitnessPal.  Not because I'm making bad choices. (Well, some bad choices, but not binging or anything.)  I've had a couple of candy bars---but not on the same day.  I've had some potato chips and other things I don't normally eat.  But I've still done it in moderation.  I haven't returned to regular Pepsi, but I do need to drink more water.

My next run is in about 2 weeks (Labor Day weekend).  It's another 5K (same course as before).   I saw this card on Facebook today and had to laugh!

I was going to try the 10K, but I just don't think I'm ready. I still might do it--even if I have to walk part of it. (I have never run more than 3.1 miles without stopping.)  There is also a marathon and a half marathon, but there is no way!!  (Maybe next year?!?!?)

We are also having our first mud run!!  Mud, Sweat, and Tears.  It is either 1.5 or 3 miles. (Apparently the 3 miles is just two times around the course.)  I think I'm going to do it with some of my Zumba buddies.

One last picture before I sign off....
