NSVs

button

I have a couple of NSVs this week.

In the middle of the craziness at work (waiting to hear if I'll have a job come July 1st) I have managed to pretty much stay on track.  I haven't necessarily eaten the best stuff, but I've still come in under calories.  And I've been out running, walking, and doing Zumba.

My second NSV for the week: I ran 2 miles outside.  I have been working on increasing my time running outside.  (I might have been able to run longer, but I had an appointment.)  And I did it while running right past a bleacher full of high school baseball players.

As I ran, I thought of this blog post someone shared with me: Hey Fat Girl. And it encouraged me to keep running.

  3. Get it girl! It can be really hard to keep up with a healthy life style with things get crazy so its awesome that you were able to continue doing it! And heck yeah for two miles out side! It is always so much harder to run outside so that is freaking awesome!!

  4. That is awesome! You are such an inspiration to get out and run. I am doing the same thing with my eating. It may not always be healthy, but I am keeping my calories in check.

  6. Congrats! I do the same thing when I run outside. I feel like everyone is judging but then I say "Well, I am beating everyone on the couch!"

  7. Great NSVs, Julie!

I'm so sorry for your job stress. Many years ago, my workplace announced they were going to be laying people off, and they did this on the very day Girl Scout cookies were delivered. My office mates and I ate our way through most of our purchases, which wasn't healthy but did give us a laugh when we realized what we were doing. :) Hang in there!

  9. So proud of you, Julie!! It's so hard to stay on track when life's stressors creep in and you are staying in control, doesn't that feel SO amazing!! Good luck and please keep us posted about your job - sending positive thoughts your way!
