My biggest NSV is the fact that I got my race costume finished---almost 2 weeks before the race! (I am usually the queen of procrastination!!) I posted it about it yesterday. Check out that post for the details, but here is a sneak peak!
A struggle this week..... I got my 3rd (and final) cortisone shot in my left foot. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis a little over a year ago. I've now had two shots since I started walking in January. My podiatrist said that if this one doesn't work, it will be time to consider "other options". Yes, those options include surgery. I'm glad my doctor was willing to give me another shot since I don't want to stall my weight loss (and the more I lose, the less pressure I'll have on my joint.)
But.....apparently, I have developed the side effect of "steroid flare". I have intense pain on my injection site. According to the nurse, this is not uncommon. It should be better in 3-5 days. That means no running or Zumba for a few days. :( But hopefully I'll be ready to run next week.
I love that outfit, it's cute!!! Iam sure you will feel well soon, and be able to zumba and run!!!!
ReplyDeleteOuch. I remember getting those injections in my back....oof. I hope it clears up soon!!!
ReplyDeleteCortisone shots are painful. Got them in my back and also in my knee.
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope it helps you.
You are one strong woman.....
Whoop whoop on getting the costume done! I too am the queen of procrastination, I often say I work well under pressure!! I hope the shot provides you some relief, I have heard that can be so painful, but have never personally experienced it!! Thanks for linking up with us!!
ReplyDeleteNice outfit! I never heard about the injection you mentioned, it sounds painful. I hope you'll get well soon. Take care.
