Many of you encouraged me last week after my gain on the scale that if I was doing the right things, it would probably be temporary. You were right. I weighed in on Sunday because I didn't expect to be home this morning. But weather delays moved my trip for work back a day. When I weighed in on Sunday, I was down 6.4 pounds. (Insert "WooHoo" here!) But wait, there's more! Since I was home, I weighed in today. I was down another pound. That means the difference between last Tuesday and this Tuesday was 7.4 pounds. So for two weeks, I had a net loss of about 6 pounds. Yippee!
This week has is looking my worst for exercise. I didn't walk on Sunday. I usually take that day off. Between church and small group, I try to spend some time with the kids. Yesterday, I spent the entire day (10 am to 5:30 pm) at the ER with my 15 year old. (The doctor thinks it's his gall bladder, and we may be looking at surgery soon. Prayers would be appreciated.) Today and tomorrow I'll be out of town for work. I will look for ways to work out, but I'm not sure what I'll find. I'm dependent on other people's schedules and car.
But I can control what I eat. I have bag of healthy snacks. And I will make healthy choices.
Follow my journey as I return to the classroom after an almost two decade break
